It has been widely argued that organizations hire employees for their technical skills but fire them for problems related to interpersonal skills. To study interpersonal skills at the work place, the interplay between soft & hard skills, and social dynamics as well as the ability of employees to work together was assessed. The aim was to find the relationship between intrapersonal skills appropriate for the work environment and determine the strategies used by organizations to ensure employees develop appropriate work relate interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. This research was based on the positivist research philosophy called deductive approach or theory testing methodology where data was collected using quantitative research design. The main design used to analyze this research was the descriptive survey based on comparative analyses of some companies in Saudi Arabia based on their employment information. The companies in the service sectors used for analysis included Arab National Bank, The Saudi British Bank (SABB), Bank AlJazira, Banque Saudi Fransi, Riyad Bank, and NCB (National Commercial Bank). The analysis involved an overview of Human Resource Management HRM and employment policies in relation to employment and a keen focus on the weight given to interpersonal skills against technical skills during employment. The study found a positive relationship between interpersonal skills and firing of employees, a close relation between employees' attributes such as experience or academics and company recruitment culture. These demonstrated that employees with good technical and soft skills had higher chances of getting and sustaining employment.
