This dissertation investigates the activities of the American missionaries, specifically the impact of the 'Arabian Mission,' on Kuwaiti society. A good understanding of the impact is achieved by studying Kuwaiti documents, interviews, personal memoirs, British documents, and missionary reports. The research focuses on the period from the establishment of the Arabian Mission in Kuwait in 1910 until they closed the station in 1967.
