The opportunity to set up one's lab is always a great occasion. In doing so, there are items one can easily overlook. The goal of this book is to present dos and don'ts when setting up a laser lab. Often the researcher and the facilities staff do not understand each other's needs and perspective. They sometimes seem to be speaking in different languages. This can easily cause unwanted delays and costly retrofitting. This book will try to bridge that gap, providing guidance, reminders, and explanations of items in establishing or retrofitting a laser lab.
