Tuberculosis kills more than three million people a year. These are mostly in Asia and Africa but there are an increasing number of cases in the Western world, particularly among children. This book reviews the primary causes and secondary complications caused by tuberculosis in the young. Emphasis is placed on the contribution made by modern imaging techniques which have supplemented conventional radiology in clinical evaluation. The authors draw on their extensive experience of cases in Africa to guide clinicians worldwide in dealing with this problem.
