چکیده (انگلیسی): Islamic thinkers and scholars including Farabi, Aveicenna. Averroes, Suhrewardi, and sadra of shiraz have had different approaches to Islam. Their cosmological and anthropological (the knowledge of soul) view points, and methods of religion. The common point among them is that all are, more or less, influenced by Greek philosophy. on the one hand, and Islamic scholars. on the other. For this reason, their approaches to the world of existence, man, and religion are, somehow, philosopo-Religious ones: each has attempted, in one way or another, to link philosophy and religion, and to unify them. Attempt began from farabi, then, passing its primary stages, it achieved its final developments bby Sadra of shiraz in the eleventh century (A. H) At first, intellect and religion (Shariah) are put in the same rank; latter, the more it goes on. the more illustrative religion becomes, and. infact, the more expectative it becomes. Farabi considers humans needs to religion as a necessity, both for this world and the next word, and in individual and social life, emphasizing on the eternal and social life in his utopia, and for mans real felicity. The foundation of his thought is that intellect and religion, philosophy and shariah, are both one truth, differing in the languae they use, and their methods of dealing with and achieving truth
