In some Middle Eastern countries the majority of women are in danger of human rights abuses that threaten security of person. Religion, cultural norms and legal standards enable the abuse which in many cases leads to death. In a world of globalization where geographical boundaries no longer isolate peoples from one another, American Christians have the choice to ignore the injustices in the world or to respond with compassion for the abused. The purpose of this thesis is to bring awareness of the abuses faced by Muslim women in the Middle East and to call American Christians to engage in the efforts to stop those abuses.
